BELARUS President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived in Zimbabwe for a historic three-day State visit.
President Lukashenko was welcomed at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by his counterpart President Mnangagwa.
During the visit, Zimbabwe and Belarus are expected to sign several deals and discuss ways to further enhance bilateral relations.
In a statement, Zimbabwe’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade ministry said the visit will strengthen Belarus-Zimbabwe cooperation in various political and economic spheres.
Zimbabwe and Belarus have strong cooperation in political, economic, mining, agriculture and disaster risk management.
Several agreements are under consideration and are expected to be signed during the visit. President Lukashenko and President Mnangagwa are also expected to launch the Second Phase of the Zimbabwe- Belarus Agricultural Mechanisation Programme.
