President Mnangagwa has officially opened the Madokero Mall in Tynwald, Harare, which is part of the Public Service Pension Fund Investment projects.
In his address, the President said: “It is my honour and pleasure to be here today to officially open Phase 1 of the US$7,4 million Madokero Mall, a project fully developed by the Public Service Pension Fund.
“This commendable feat attests to my administration’s thrust towards ensuring provision of requisite infrastructure as part of efforts towards the realisation of our vision of a prosperous and empowered upper middle income economy by 2030.”
The President said he was happy that the Public Service Pension Funds’ infrastructure development projects dovetail with his clarion call for local institutions, in particular pension funds, to aggressively harness own local resources to modernise, industrialise and grow the economy.
“I congratulate the Public Service Commission, Public Service Pension Fund Board and other stakeholders for successfully implementing this project in record time.
“Congratulations to you all for a job well done.”
